D-MATH and D-PHYS welcome freshmen
At this year's first-year students event the Departments of Mathematics and Physics welcomed their new students of the degree programmes Mathematics, Physics and Computational Science and Engineering (CSE).
Representatives of the departments and student organizations gave the freshmen valuable tips for their studies and informed them about the most important contacts at the ETH Zurich and the Departments.
385 students begin their studies in one of the three programmes this Autumn Semester. Of those, 166 students enrolled for Mathematics which is a 30% increase to 2014. This is a new record! With a women’s quota of over 30%, Mathematics lies now within the ETH-wide average.
