ETH Medals and Willi Studer Prize

At the 2015 Graduation Ceremony, four outstanding Master's theses were honoured with the ETH Medal and three graduates received the Willi Studer Prize.

The following students received the ETH Medal for their Master's theses:

  • Olivier Bachem: "Coresets for the DP-Means clustering problem" (under the guidance of Prof. Andreas Krause)
  • Samuel Lanthaler: "Computation of measure valued solutions of the incompressible Euler equations"
    (under the guidance of Prof. Siddhartha Mishra)
  • Anna Paola Rapp: "Velocity averaging and application to the DiPerna-Lions existence theory for the Boltzmann equation"
    (under the guidance of Prof. Tristan Rivère)
  • Berit Singer: "Quantum homology for Lagrangian cobordism"
    (under the guidance of Prof. Paul Biran)

And the Willi Studer Prize was awarded to:
Antony Charel
, Simon Benjamin Laumer, Johannes Andreas Schmitt
