Three D-MATH professors are "Highly Cited Researchers 2014"
Peter Bühlmann, Nicolai Meinshausen and Wendelin Werner have been selected to the list of "Highly Cited Researchers 2014" published by Thomson Reuters.
FIM Conference: Recent advances in non-local and non-linear analysis: theory and applications
The conference with about 80 participants from all over the world has started today and will last until 14 June 2014. It is organized by Francesca Da Lio and Tristan Rivière (D-MATH), Luca Martinazzi (University of Basel) and Rafe Mazzeo (Stanford University).
Doctoral exam of Michail Rassias
Michail Th. Rassias successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled: "Analytic investigation of cotangent sums related to the Riemann zeta function". Congratulations!
ETH Studienwochen for prospective mathematics students
Friday 6 June was the last day of the ETH Studienwochen where about 33 prospective students had the possibility to learn more about mathematics at ETH Zurich. Together with Urs Kirchgraber and Roger Käppeli of the Department and Peter Ullrich of the University of Koblenz-Landau they worked on topics from algebra, geometry, differential equations and number theory.
