Title A twisted Motohashi formula
Speaker, Affiliation Ian Petrow, EPF Lausanne
Date, Time 1 October 2014, 10:00-11:00
Location CLV B 4
Abstract Some of the strongest known subconvex bounds for L-functions come from an estimate on the cubic moments of those L-functions due to Conrey and Iwaniec. I will present a Motohashi formula which describes the dual sums of this cubic moment.

Title On the proof of Kuznetsov's formula
Speaker, Affiliation Prof. Dr. Paul Nelson, ETH Zurich, Switzerland
Date, Time 22 October 2014, 10:15-21:15
Location CLV B 4
Abstract The Kuznetsov formula relates a weighted sum of Fourier coefficients of modular forms on GL(2) to a weighted sum of Kloosterman sums. It is a fundamental tool in analytic number theory; in fact, it appeared in one way or the other in each of the last three talks given in this seminar. We will attempt a streamlined presentation of a proof due to Cogdell and Piatetski-Shapiro.

Title Real weight Modular Forms and their Sup-norms
Speaker, Affiliation Raphael Steiner, Bristol University
Date, Time 26 November 2014, 10:15-11:15
Location CLV B 4
Abstract We start out by defining real weight Modular Forms, going over their Fourier expansion, defining Poincaré series and the construction of a reproducing Kernel. We then use these results and apply them by methods of Xia to bounding the Sup-Norms. In the end we specialise to Newforms of half-integral weight of level 1 (=The Kohnen-Plus space) and improve upon our previous established result.
