Nicolai Meinshausen: COPSS Award

We are delighted to announce that Professor Nicolai Meinshausen has received the 2016 COPSS Presidents' Award.

The COPSS Presidents' Award is given annually by the external pageCommittee of Presidents of Statistical Societies (COPSS) to a person under the age of 41, in recognition of outstanding contributions to the profession of statistics. It is arguably the most prestigious award in statistics (cited by external pageWikipedia).

Nicolai Meinshausen was awarded for his "fundamental and ingenious contributions to high-dimensional inference, variable selection, multiple testing, graphical models, machine learning and causal inference for heterogeneous data". He is a full professor at the Seminar for Statistics.
