Polytopes

This course will focus on the problem of counting integral points in polytopes. It should be accessible for 1st year bachelor students (second semester), and serve as an introduction to various combinatorial techniques.

The basis of the course will be the book "Computing the continuous discretely: integer point enumeration in polyhedra", by Matthias Beck and Sinai Robins. Students are not required to buy the book.

There will be homework for this course. Some of it, but not all, will be collected.
