Athenee Robert Catteau

Catteau

The location of this school has an amazing history. This is were Vesalius did his first dissections of human bodies. He bought the corpses from the hangman of the Court House located nearby (you can see it on the back of the picture, or here ). It also served for a long time as a jail for women! All these are facts, and not rumors: they are for instance reported on the official website of the school.

This school is generally thought to be a good institution. You can find some comments about it (and Stanford), made by another former Stanford/Catteau alumni, on his web site . Obviously, his remarks address an old situation (it was co-ed at my time, of course), but I definitely agree with most of them.
