Introduction to representation theory (ETHZ FS 2011)

This page contains links to the lecture notes and some other interesting documents concerning the class I am teaching this semester at ETH Zürich on representation theory.

10.8.2011: Current draft of the notes. This is not yet complete, but what is there is self-contained and consistent. The missing parts are, essentially, some of Chapter III (a few more facts about unitary representations; some words on projective representations), some of Chapter VI (applications of Peter-Weyl theory to quantum mechanics), and most of Chapter VII (introduction to locally compact, non-compact, groups).

Here is the official web page for the course with information about scheduling, exercises, etc.
