Curriculum Vitae and list of Publications.
I am mostly interested in dynamical and equidistribution problems on homogeneous spaces.
The equidistribution of closed horocycle orbits and collections of closed geodesic orbits on
the modular surface are good examples of such problems. For more examples and my concrete
research see the introductory books and papers below.
Entropy in ergodic theory and homogeneous dynamics, joint with E. Lindenstrauss and T. Ward. Work in progress.
Ergodic Theory with a view towards Number Theory, joint with T. Ward. Published in the GTM series of Springer.
Diagonal actions on locally homogeneous spaces, joint with E. Lindenstrauss.
An introduction to effective equidistribution and property (tau), describing joint work with G.Margulis and A.Venkatesh.
What is ... measure rigidity?
A simple proof of a special case of Ratner's measure classification theorem.
A few recent research papers:
Entropy and escape of mass on the space of lattices in three-space, joint with Shirali Kadyrov.
An ergodic theoretic proof of Duke's theorem on the equidistribution of periodic geodesic orbits, joint with E. Lindenstrauss, Ph. Michel, and A. Venktaesh.
On measures invariant under tori on quotients of semi-simple groups, joint with E. Lindenstrauss.
Functional Analysis I and II (2011/12), more information is here and the lecture notes are here.
"Counting seminar", joint with M. Burger.
Functional Analysis II
Hecke operators and quantum unique ergodicity, describing the work of E. Lindenstrauss on Arithmetic Quantum Unique Ergodicity.
