Dr. Andrew Morrison

Welcome to Andrew's homepage. As of Fall 2012 I am a postdoc at ETH Zürich under Rahul Pandharipande. Before coming to Switzerland I studied at UBC Vancouver where I got my PhD under the supervision of Jim Bryan. I am generally interested in the mathematics of moduli problems. My research has looked at aspects of Donaldson-Thomas theory.

Lecture Course: Quiver Moduli Spaces and Motivic Invariants

This is a short lecture course on moduli spaces of quiver representations and motivic invariants associated to them. We will introduce moduli spaces of quiver representations, a power structure on the Grothendieck ring of varieties (or stacks), motivic vanishing cycles, and see some examples from Donaldson-Thomas theory.

Times: Tuesdays from 1.30 to 3.00pm.
Dates: 23rd, 30th October and 6th, 20th November.
Location: Math department of ETH on the G floor in the HWZ (Hermann-Weyl-Zimmer).
