Mail Client Configuration

Generic settings:

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP):
- server: mail.ethz.ch
- port: 993 (SSL)

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
- mail.ethz.ch
- port 587 or 25 (TLS)

Important: You need your nethz-username and password (eg. what you use for VPN, eDoz etc.) in order to access the Exchange mailserver.

Webmail can be accessed at https://mail.ethz.ch/owa

Generic configuration using IMAP:

Incoming mail server: mail.ethz.ch (SSL only on Port 993)
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.ethz.ch with TLS on Port 587 or 25
Passwords are conveyed encrypted with SSL and/or TLS only.

Please don't use IMAP with Mail.app (MacOSX 10.6) as this gives problems on the mailserver.
