President's Message

ICIAM 2007 will celebrate the power of mathematics in a multitude of modern settings. It will take place in one of Europe's most beautiful cities. As President of the International Council for Industrial and Applied mathematics, I invite you to come to Zurich to take part in and enjoy the 2007 Congress.

You will be able to select from 27 superb invited lectures, and to sample from an extraordinary array of minisymposia, contributed talks, poster sessions and public events. Please come. By your presence you will be helping to affirm the universality of mathematics, and the vital role it plays in the modern world.
